Shanky Takes Second in Alabama 200!
Shanky Smith started the Alabama 200 in the 17th spot Sunday afternoon. He was not very happy with his
qualifying run, but knew he had 200 laps to work his way to the front.
Shanky held his own all day long at South Alabama Speedway, and remained on the lead lap
throughout the race. With just a handful of laps to go, he found himself one of only five lead
lap cars left.
Sneaking through a last lap incident, Shanky made his way to the stripe in the second spot!
