A Sincere Thanks from Shanky's Parents

After Shanky won the 2005 Street Stock Championship we really hoped Shanky would be driving a Super Stock during the 2006 season. Due to some sponsor problems we weren't able to start off the season with a Super Stock, but thanks to some dealing with Heath Mills we were able to get the Pro Late. Bobby and Shanky have had to work a lot of weekends to get up enough money to spend on the Pro Late. Needless to say - We really need a deep pocket sponsor. That's why it took so long for Shanky to be able to race it. In the meantime Shanky wanted to race, so we had to fall back to the Street Stock. We are really proud of his ten wins and his runners up finish in the 2006 Street Stock Championship, even though he didn't run the full schedule. Also, we were really proud of his Pro Late finishes knowing that we didn't have the best equipment under him. We keep wishing for the day that someone would like to put him in some good equipment to see what he really can do.

It is unreal at the amount of help that is needed every race. Shanky has been really lucky to have so many that he could depend on to help get his car ready. Bobby and I would personally like to thank: Rick Strickland - He helps on pre-race stuff any time you ask him to and you can count on him to always be at the track on race day. Dale Mclendon - He is still hanging in there and helps out at the track. Chief - He is there, always hurrying to get what needs to be done, done. Justin Stanford - who is finally coming around, and proving to be one of the crew. Thanks to Troy Lader - Your help did not go unnoticed.

And now I would like to thank Rhonda, Shelly, Donna, Jena, Misti for always helping with anything I needed to do like getting the candy ready and also the merchandise to give away (Thanks to Tartan Pines, Paradise Home Sales, and Pike Equipment Rental), and geting things loaded up after the race. Oh yeah, thanks to Rhonda and Donna for letting the honey-do's go so Ricky and Dale could help.

For the 2003 season we as the Phoenix/Shanky Racing Team intend to primarily concentrate on the Pro Late. Bobby an I are really looking forward to get to see Shanky in the Winner's Circle in the Pro Late. We know Shanky has some learning to do so maybe all you Shanky fans (Thanks so much for all of your support!) will hang in there with us while we try to get Shanky there.
